G.A. West & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations. This role is ideal for someone starting their HR career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in administrative support, employee relations, and recruitment processes. The HR Assistant will also serve as a first point of contact by managing incoming calls through a multi-line switchboard system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line switchboard in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet and assist visitors, employees, and job applicants
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR files
- Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and 2 years of administrative experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls with professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
