PARTS COORDINATOR

G.A. West's sister company, Legacy Cranes & Equipment is seeking a Parts Coordinator for a full-time position in Creola, Alabama.

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive and/or equipment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must have valid driver’s license

 

Position requirements

  • Respond to and resolve parts inquiries through follow up with vendors regarding, parts arrival dates, no longer available or substitution of parts, wrong parts shipped, damaged, short shipped and/or missing packing slip issues.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing office documents, answering telephones, and responding to a variety of routine and non-routine inquiries.
  • Inspect all material received for proper quantity, description, condition, and documentation according to purchase orders, drawings, manufacturer specifications.
  • Packages parts to be shipped out of the facility and prepare shipping levels and documentation.
  • Maintaining inventory in warehouse.
  • Maintaining accurate records, conducting physical counts, and managing minimum/maximum stock levels.
  • Placing orders for parts based on demand and inventory needs, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Receiving shipments, verifying quantities and quality, and ensuring correct pricing.
  • Assist technicians and customers with parts inquiries, providing recommendations, and resolving issues, and negotiating prices.
  • Processing invoices, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Following up on back orders and ensuring parts are available when needed.
  • Research locate and acquire parts and accessories, contact vendors to obtain price quotes and place orders.
  • Receive incoming parts and verify paperwork for accuracy, return damaged, warranty or incorrect parts to vendors, process claims for damaged materials.
  • Communicate status of part orders.
