G.A. West & Co. is currently seeking experienced CNC Operators in Chunchula, AL. These are long-term, full-time positions. Details below:
Responsibilities
- Identifying proper sizes, shapes, grades of material for processing.
- Takes inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available, anticipated stock
- Strong mathematical skills with a keen sense for attention to detail.
- Ability to measure and calculate measurements with a high level of accuracy and precision.
- Basic computer skills including understanding programing, program files and file storage.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be willing to undergo drug screening and background check
- Must have 1 -2 years minimum experience
